As I look back at the year 2008 there were so many blessings and gifts that I would never have asked to receive. Along with the trials and hardships that my family has faced. We have had a tough year medically as many of you know. Sean spent 10 days in the hospital with pneumonia and some of them in the ICU. I have never in my life felt closer to the lord then at this time. I am so thankful for all of the love that I received from friends and family. With out there support I wouldn't have made it through what seemed like a never ending nightmare.
I also just have been struggling with my health to which doesn't make life at our house very easy some days. I had surgery #6 & 7 this year, with in a month of each other, but once again I am healing very quickly and my arm feels great. My arthritis seems to be under some control at the moment so I have been able to do the things that my kids want me to do it has been fun.
Speaking of kids I can't believe how fast they grow. I cried on Christmas morning when Abbey came to me with her hair all perfectly straight and done so cute. (she did it all by herself, with her new straighting iron) Macie is learning to read and it is so cute how she want to know how to spell everything. Brayden I think is becoming interested in girls (don't let him know I put that on here or he will kill me) Corey is so excited to be 10 and what a great kid he is. He is so caring and loving.
I was also blessed to go back to work this year. I truly love my job. I have found that work can actually be enjoyable. It is also nice that my kids are at the school so if anyone needs me they can just come and find me. It also helps me with my photography, I was starting to get burned out, but now I enjoy it so much more.
I am also really glad that we didn't move to the bigger house that we had already put money down on. It really has been a blessing to stay here in our smaller house. While we are cramped for space and long for something new we know that this is where we are supposed to be. There is a reason for everything and I truly believe that we are here for some reason that we may just not know yet.

The Wall-E adventure
I took the kids to see Wall-E while Sean and Brayden were on the deer hunt. I gage a movies goodness by how well it keeps Corey entertained and quiet. Needless to say my patients were shot halfway through. I don't know if it was because he got a hold of my Coke and managed to drink half of it, or if the movie just didn't have enough talking going on it because he kept asking me "where are they now?" and stuff like that. Today is the girls spa day I am really excited I am sure we will have a great time, and I hope to post some pictures later. (that is if I don't forget the camera which I am really good at, ironic isn't it?)

Work
I started working again and it has been such a change. I work at the school so my hours are almost the same as my kids. Macie goes to her BFF's house to play before school and I leave the house as soon as the other kids get on the bus.
We got kids in our class on Wedensday and wow was I tired when I got home. Don't get me wrong I really enjoyed it, but having a cold and not having any energy right now was not what I needed day one. Day two went a lot smoother for everyone. I am looking forward to a great year.

Macie's First Day of Kidergarten
Macie was so excited that the day has finally come that she gets to go to school with her brother and sister. She was mad at me because I wanted to take her to school on the first day instead of riding the bus. She was really excited to ride the bus home. She is in Mrs. George's class. She seems like such a fun teacher. Her room is decorated in a jungle theme. I think the most exciting part of Macie's day is when she got to school and her best friend was sitting right next to her at her table. She also has two other friends from up the street in her class.

First Day of School
Another school year has come upon us and I can hardly believe that my kids are so old.
Brayden is starting 5th grade this year and is so excited to have Mr. Earl. Mr Earl is the kinda of teacher that tells jokes in class and likes to goof of while learning.
Corey is going back to Mrs. A's (Adamson's) class and with most of his friends from last year. I have a hard time saying that he is in 4th grade, but when my other kids move up a grade so does he.
Abbey is in 3rd grade with Mrs Searle. She really wanted her for a teacher and was really relieved to find out one of her BFF's is in her class.
Macie will start kindergarten next week. So I will get a whole week to enjoy some piece and quiet with just the two of us before she goes of to the BIG world.

what font are you
I took a fun little quiz to see what font I am. It was totally not what I expected, I thought I would be something a little more fun, but none the less here I am...
You Are Times New Roman |
You are formal and conservative. You're concerned with how you appear to others. For you, maintaining a good reputation is important. You want people to trust you. Elegant and classy, you always maintain your composure. You are never crass. You are professional, competent, and upstanding. And it shows! |

How much summer can you cram into one week?
Well with only one weekend left until school starts we had a lot of activities left that we wanted to cram in, not to mention school shopping. So Friday we did the school shopping and I have to admit the kids did really well for a six and half hour trip.
Saturday was camping we went up to Payson Lakes. This was intended to be a quick up and back trip and it was. We left my moms around 4:00 and were back to our house by 10:00 Sunday morning.
We hiked down to the lake and the kids found a stick that had a fishing line and a bobber on the end of it and tried to catch a dead fish that was in the water. Corey went off and picked me and Gussy some wild daisy's and told us both he loved us the most. He is such a sweet kid.
Macie even learned to tie her shoes. She was the first kid to pass Grandma Gussies summer graduation program. (tie your shoes and tie them tight so you aren't slopping around in untied shoes all day:))
Grandma and Corey serenaded us in some lovely campfire tunes, Burning Ring of Fire and Hey Jude. I promised I wouldn't put the video on, but it is worth a few laughs. Just imagine.
Tonight we are off to 7-peaks and tomorrow is back to school night. Then finally the day has come that peace and quite will sweep through my house again. A bitter sweet day.

Abbey's Baptism
Abbey was baptized on Aug 2nd. It was a great experience for her. She looked so beautiful in her dress and for those that know her you know she is a princess and had to have her tiara. There was a terrible car accident that morning so most of our family was 45 min late. Luckily she was the only one from our ward and we were able to wait for them. After she was baptised and changing her clothes the bishop knocked the door and told us that we had to do it again because she was holding onto Sean's arm to high, so back into the wet clothes for another try. Other than that things went well, all of the family came over to our house after for breakfast. Luckily we were able to get the counter top laid and backsplash up in time.

I just finished Breaking Dawn, and of course I loved it. Sean is relieved that the house will be getting cleaned again.
I also got a job today:) I will be working at my kids school in one of the preschool classes. There will be special needs kids in it, so I think I kinda know how that is going to go. One of the interview questions was; How do you feel about changing diaper? I kinda laughed and said my nine year old steal wears them so I guess I am okay with it. Anyway I am really excited. I start on the 28th so I guess I will get one day to experience what it would have been like to have all my kids in school.

Weekend at the Cabin
We took our first trip up to the Cabin this past weekend, our kids were so excited. I can't believe what a great memory Corey has, on the way up there he asked us if he could do his puzzle that he took up there last time (Sean and I had totally forgot about it) he even remembered that it was Winnie the Pooh. Then he joked about being a "regular boy". Of course as soon as we got there we had to go on the four wheelers and go carts as many times as we could until we left.
We even saw lot of animals up there, my mom jokes that we saw more wild life at the cabin then she saw on her Alaskan cruise. There was a note on the gate when we got there that there was a bear siting a week ago so Sean was on a crusade to find the bear and take a picture of it, but to no avail he didn't find it. On one of my outings with Abbey and Corey we had a bull moose jump out in front of us, it gave me a heart attack, but other than that it was neat to see. We also saw a buck and a lot of does a couple of baby dear and a ton of chipmunks that Corey wanted to run over.

Some People...
Today I was standing outside at one of my neighbors houses and a lady drove by and stopped her car on the corner to let a dog out to use the bathroom on my bushes. What the crap!!! Why would you do that? Seriously that is so annoying, the funny thing is, is that people will let their dogs do there business in our yard all the time when they are on there walks and such I get so annoyed because I don't even let my own dog do her business in my yard.

Welcome to our blog
Well here is post nemero uno. We had a great fourth of July weekend. On Thursday we went swimming at the Spanish Fork Reservoir we had never been there before, but the kids had a great time. I was a little disappointed I had hoped to minimize my farmers tan a bit so I didn't wear any sunscreen. I started to feel my back getting really hot, and not wanting a burn I decided to have Sean put some sun screen on me. Later that night when we got home my right leg was really hurting so I decided to look at and guess what my thigh was burned (I am talking swollen, bright red burned) It was sore for a couple of days, but all in all we had a good time.
On The 4th we went and walked around at the shops in Provo at the Freedom Festival. Then we went over to my parents house for a yummy BBQ, ribs, chicken, potatoes, corn on the cob, rolls and all the trimmings. We let of a BIG box of fireworks, and had some huge sparklers which Sean hates. Corey even decided to participate this year. After his first sparkler we told him to put in the bucket and he got his don't tell me what to do face on as he was about to touch the hot sparkler we all screamed "NO DON'T TOUCH IT, IT IS HOT" but he did it anyway and now he has a blister on his hand from the sparkler.
